Answers on signing in for the first time, a lost one-time password, paying by M-Pesa Paybill 985050, branches, CPD, elections and nominations, updating your details, and who to contact.
Signing in
I received a letter with a KAMMP ID and a one-time password. What do I do?
Open Sign in and enter your KAMMP ID (or your email address) and the one-time password from the letter. You then choose your own password and complete three short onboarding steps: your name and contacts, your professional details and your consents. Adding a photo and paying your subscription can follow later.
My one-time password does not work, or I have lost it.
A one-time password expires 30 days after it is issued, and it stops working once a new one is issued. Contact the secretariat on info@kammp.or.ke or +254 743 123 237 and ask for a new one. For your safety we confirm who you are before we issue it.
I forgot my password.
Choose Forgot password on the sign-in page and enter the email address on your account. We send a link that works once and expires after 30 minutes. If you have no email address on your account, contact the secretariat.
Joining KAMMP
Who can join?
Muslim health professionals registered with a Kenyan professional regulator, in every cadre, and students in an accredited health professions programme. The categories of membership are set out in Article 7 of the Constitution.
How do I apply?
Choose Become a member, fill in the application, confirm your email address, add your photo and a short biography, and pay the fee for your category. Your membership starts when the membership office approves the application.
Paying fees
How much is membership?
The annual fee for each category is on the Membership page. Fees are set by the National Governing Council and ratified by the AGM. There is no application fee.
How do I pay?
By M-Pesa to Paybill 985050. Use the right account number: - Membership fees and renewals: your KAMMP ID. - Conference and event registration: the registration reference you are given. - Sadaqah: SADAQAH. - Zakat: ZAKAT. From your portal you can also have the M-Pesa prompt sent straight to your phone.
Where is my receipt?
Under Payments in your portal, once the payment is confirmed. A payment made by hand at the Paybill is matched by the finance office first, then receipted.
Why can I not vote or use member rates?
Only fully paid-up members enjoy the privileges of membership (Article 7.1.8). Pay your subscription for the year and they return.
Branches
How do I join a branch?
You choose your branch when you apply, and every member chooses one. The Branches page lists them all.
How do I move to another branch?
Ask the membership office through Support in your portal, and say which branch and why. Your branch decides where you vote in branch elections.
Your membership card
Where is my membership card?
In your portal under Card. It shows your name, KAMMP ID, category and whether your membership is current, with a QR code anyone can scan to check it.
CPD
How do I get CPD points?
Attend accredited KAMMP events, CMEs and the annual conference. Points are added to your CPD transcript once your attendance is recorded.
Where are my certificates?
On your CPD transcript in the portal, ready to download. Anyone can check a certificate on the Verify page.
Can I add CPD from other providers?
Yes. Add it on your CPD transcript with the evidence, and the CPD office reviews it.
Elections and nominations
Who can vote?
Fully paid-up members and Life members, as at the election's cut-off date. Each voter has one vote for each seat, in a secret ballot.
Who can stand?
Ordinary and Life members who are Kenyan citizens resident in Kenya, with their subscription paid. Terms are two years, and a member may hold the same office for at most two terms.
How do nominations work?
When the Electoral Commission opens nominations, you can nominate from Elections in your portal. The Commission vets every nomination before a name goes on the ballot.
What if I disagree with a result?
Petition the Electoral Commission from the election page within the petition window after the result is declared. The Commission decides and records its reasons.
Your details and your data
How do I update my details?
Open Profile in your portal to change your name, contacts and professional details. A change to your registration number is checked again before it is accepted.
How do I see, correct or delete my data?
Make a request from Privacy in your portal. It goes to the Data Protection Officer, who answers under the Data Protection Act, 2019. Records the Association must keep, such as receipts and CPD records, are kept.
The conference
How do I register for the conference?
Open the Conference page and choose Register. Sign in first to get the member rate. Non-members can register and pay the non-member rate.
